
Primary Instrumentation Display Overview
The PRISM Topaz primary instrumentation display is wrist mounted and is human factors engineered to provide all key system status information at a glance. Brightly illuminated status indicators are shape and color keyed to the status level they are intended to communicate. Current PPO2, oxygen cylinder pressure and diluent cylinder pressure are displayed via large numeral backlit LCD (Figure 1). The tertiary training display duplicates the Primary status display but does not include the LCD pressure display. (Figure 1).

Normal operating mode is shown by a green illuminated box while low and high PPO2 Warnings are shown via yellow up and down arrows (Figure 2). Low PPO2 Alert and High PPO2 Alert are indicated by red "L" and "H" characters. These characters are accompanied by a flashing red "A" character to indicate Low or High Alarm condition. This "A" Alarm indicator also lights to indicate electronics or sensor fault. A red "CO2" indicator illuminates to indicate CO2 Alarm.

PRISM Topaz uses alarm offset values of 10 percent of PPO2 setpoint with a minimum offset of 0.1 ATA. Warning, Alert and Alarm trigger values for various operational PPO2 setpoints are shown in Figure 3.
